December 9-11 NIPS will be the press center for the Nobel Institute during the Nobel ceremonies.

Sep 26, Tuesday at 10 AM, FPA invites it's members for the yearly Nobel speculations with Henrik Urdal, PRIO and Asle Sveen, historian

Aug 16, Thursday, at 11 AM, Rasmus Hansen, the Green party, meets members of FPA to briefing about the election.

Aug3, Thursday at 11 AM,  Siv Jensen, party leader Progress party, meets members of FPA to briefing about the election.

June 19, Monday at 11 AM, Press conference with The Rainbow Foundation and the organizers of the Interfaith Rainforest Conference

October 1, Thursday at 9.30 AM, FPA will have a "breakfast/brainstorming meeting" with PRIO-director Kristian Berg Harpviken and Nobeliana-historian Asle Sveen to speculate about the possible laureates of the Nobel Peace Prize this year. The meeting will be at NIPS.

 

November 11, Wednesday at 12 AM, FPA will meet Jøran Kallmyr (FrP), statssekretær i Justis- og beredskapsdepartementet at NIPS.

 

April 24, Friday at 6 PM the Foreign Press Association will have its annual general meeting at NIPS. All members are welcome!

 

April 21, Tuesday at 9 AM. Solveig Horne, Minister of Children, Equality and Social Inclusion, will meet the members of FPA at NIPS.

 

March 26, Thursday, at 9.15 AM we will meet the new director of the Nobel Institute, Olav Njølstad, at NIPS,

Klingenberg gt 5.

 

February 24, Tuesday: At 11. AM Fredrik Heffermehl will come to NIPS on Klingenberg gt 5, to present what the organisation Nobel Peace Prize Watch considers as the 25 candidates that should get the Peace Prize this year.

 

January 28, Wednesday: FPA will meet Prime Minister Erna Solberg at SMK. Please be there in time for security reason well ahead of the meeting at 11.45.

 

December 12, Friday: Time for our «Julebord», (Christmas dinner). True to tradition we have choosen a restaurant in honour of this year's Nobel Laurates, Kailash Satyarthi and Malala Yousafzai.

So there will be Indian/Pakistani food at Mehfel Restaurant, Kirkegata 15. We meet there at 19.30.

Tuesday, October 21: It's time again for speculations about the next Nobel peace prize laureate! The announcement will be made on Friday 10 October at 11.00. One week before, we meet our two usual experts, PRIO's director Kristian Berg

Harpviken and Nobeliana's historian and writer Asle Sveen.

The meeting will take place at Nips.

May 23, Friday: FPA will be holding its yearly meeting tomorrow at 6pm at Nips.

May 2, Friday. For FPA members and visiting foreign journalists: On the day before the Norwegian Constitution Day there will be an information meeting at NIPS, Klingenberggt 5, at 4 pm: where to go, what to do, program etc You are all welcome!

April 23, Tuesday at 08.30 AM, Sturla Henriksen, Director General of Norwegian Shipowners' Association, has invited the members of FPA for a breakfast meeting. The venue will be will be Rådhusgaten 25.

 

The yearly meeting in the Foreign Press Association, Norway was held April,10, Wednesday at 18.00 PM at NIPS. A new board was chosen, with Valeria Criscione as the leader.

 

6 March, Wednesday, 10.00 AM. Foreign minister Espen Barth Eide: Briefing about the direction of Norwegian foreign policy.

 

28 February, Thursday, 02.00 PM.Mona Juul  and Annette Abelsen  from the Foreign Ministry: Background briefing on the humanitarian impact of nuclear weapons. Norway will host an international conference on the subject in Oslo 4–5 March 2013.

 

15 January, Tuesday 08.30AM. Breakfast meeting with Bjørn Kjos, CEO of Norwegian. Oksnøyv 3. We will have a transport from NIPS at 08.05

4 December, Tuesday, 9.15 AM. Does the EU deserve the Peace Prize? Breakfast meeting with the EU ambassador in Oslo, János Herman and the leader of Nei til EU (the organisation against EU membership), Heming Olaussen.The meeting will take place at NIPS.

 

30 October, Tuesday, 2 pm. Special viewing of "The Modern Eye", an exhibition of Edvard Munch's paintings, for FPA:s members by the curator of the museum. 

 

24 October 10.00- 12.00: Head of the Norwegian Police Security Service (PST) Benedicte Bjørnland will meet with at NIPS. On the agenda is the security threat after the 22/7 terror attack.

 

8 October, 9.30: PRIO-director Kristian Berg Harpviken and professor Asle Sveen will come to Nips to speculate about possible Nobel peace prize laureates for 2012.

 

28 September, 1.00pm: meeting with Knut Bjarkeid, the director of Ila prison -where Breivik will be held in a foreseable future-, and Ellen Bjercke from the Norwegian Correctional Services
